Easter Weekend

On April 2nd,
Jason was in Guatamala for his 2 week AT
and Carter was starting his spring break.
We wanted to do something fun,
so we decided to take a trip to the farm
at Thanksgiving Point
with Kelly and her family.

It was pretty cold,
but the kids had so much fun.

Dallin really didn't want to ride the horse.
(Kinda reminded me of the carosel issue at the zoo.)
So I told him if he would ride it
I would give him $1.00.
He didn't say anything and we had to wait a while
while the girl changed the horses out.
By the time it was our turn, he went and hopped on.
I didn't think anything of it,
I was just snapping pictures left and right,
thinking he was being so brave.

When he was done, he came and sat on the bench by me.
I said, "Did you have a great time?"
And he said, "Yup, now can I have my dollar?"

After Thanksgiving Point,
we went to the dollar movie and then headed to
Chuck-E-Cheese.
I was pretty worn out at that point and
was too tired to take pictures.
Luckily Kassi and Eric showed up
to help me chase Lyla around.
Lyla loved the dancing and singing characters on stage.

***
After all of that we drove to Delta
and had a great Easter/General Conference weekend with
Granny and Grandpa and all of the cousins.

At first I was bummed that Jason wasn't
going to be around for Easter,
then I realized I was thrilled to have something
to look forward to in the middle of the two
weeks that he was gone.
It made that two weeks go by alot faster.
